Privacy policy
What happens to information when you visit this site or write to us. The short version: we do not track you, and we do not want your data.
What we do not collect
This site runs no analytics and no advertising or tracking scripts. There is no Google Analytics, no Tag Manager, no advertising pixel, and no third-party measurement of any kind. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no way of recognising you from one visit to the next.
Browsing the site sets no cookies. Fonts, stylesheets, images and scripts are all served from this site rather than from an external network, so reading a page does not announce your visit to anyone else.
There are no visitor accounts, and comments are disabled.
If you use the contact form
The form asks for your name, your email address, an optional subject and your message. When you send it, that information is emailed to us at contact@museumofmtg.com and used only to read and reply to what you wrote.
The message is not saved on this website. It is not written to our database — it exists only as the email we receive, which stays in our mailbox. To stop automated abuse, the site briefly remembers that somebody has just written to us, using a one-way scrambled form of the address that we cannot read or reverse. It is discarded after five minutes.
We will not add you to a mailing list, and we will not pass your details to anyone else.
Other websites
This site loads nothing from anyone else. Some pages link out to Wizards of the Coast and similar sites; following one of those links takes you somewhere with its own privacy policy, and what happens there is between you and them.
One small exception: if your browser cannot display an emoji, WordPress may fetch a picture of it from s.w.org, a WordPress.org address. Most browsers never need to.
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records ordinary server logs — the address of the computer making a request, the page asked for, and the time. These are kept by the host for security and troubleshooting, and we do not use them to identify or track individual visitors.
Your data, and how to reach us
Because we store so little, there is usually nothing of yours for us to hold. If you have written to us and would like that correspondence deleted, or you want to know what we have, email contact@museumofmtg.com and we will sort it out.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it.
